once again we returned to mare nostrum, this time at the high season. as always, a really warm welcome from cris and a fabulous tasting festival with about three and a half relaxed hours. the highlight (for me) was the sea bass, grilled on absolute perfection. but it is inconspicuous to try to separate a “best” dish from so many best directed! a special moment for us at this opportunity was that our son had somehow managed to contact cris from Britain so that when I ordered a delicious Mallorcan red from their adventurous local weeping list, it was told to me that the wee was a gift from our sobersome. if they did not try mare nostrum, we would ask them to it, it is without doubt the best restaurant we know in mallorca, and we have been sampling here for over 30 years restaurants. janet and voice
