I visited Spain a few months ago to make a trip in Andalusia, visit granada, sevilla, cordoba and jaen. we meet a few who recommend this restaurant and we are glad that we follow their recommended. the prospects are just incredible, with the whole city up. the removal, service is top notch! they don't speak really good English, but either we don't speak good Spanish, so communication was much fun with the staff, and they try their best, we appreciate. now eating typical Spanish eating, large portions, the meat is like butter melting on the mouth, especially the chuleton de buey, the cook came out of the kitchen to talk with us a little in a broken English, just to let us know that they were so happy to have foreign in the restaurant! family environment in a 5 star place, they come back to visit our Spanish family!
it is a restaurant that does not have all accessoires or needs to make them feel special. this is not about the look or the place, it's about eating. super fresh, tasty, local ingredients and a friendly family that leads the place. it has a wood...grill, that's great. it's high quality and full of taste food! it feels like a large private dining room, simple and to the point. the taste is better than the other restaurants (in this category), we had about the island. it is not a coincidence that many locals eat here; it's great!
disappoint. the restaurant was cold, we all kept our mäntels. the service is not much better. the courts were ok, the herrensteak mostly gristle. my trout almost dry. beautiful views, canyon over the rest.
menu del dia for €10 perfect. what can they say about paco and his wife eating, always well cooked with a lot of taste! Homemade desserts are for to die! Amazing out about jaén in a beautiful restaurant! weekend menu del dia for €20... is also worth it! I can no longer recommend this restaurant and will come back with friends, family and my customers! siempre muchos gracias!
Terrible food. Wish I'd taken photos to show the slop they call food. Tasteless. Raw pork, but that's how they like it according to owner not how my Chef husband knows it should be though. Overpriced. Not worth the money or extra 10km out...of Jaen. Also, says it opens at 12 but arriving at 13:25 to empty restaurant we still had to wait 20 minutes. Thanks for everything Mirador!
Have driven past El Mirador for the last 2 years of living here between Martos and Los Villares; El Mirador is enroute to Jaén and the amount of time I've been saying I have to sample the food. One word to describe the Asador Restaurant.. Stunning Beautiful amazing views overlooking Jaén, very friendly and welcoming staff with superb and changing Menu Del Dia for €10 or as at 19.1.2016 £7.67 for a 3 course meal with drinks, bread and coffee.
Once again the asador mirador has done us proud not only with their food but with the spectacular views from their dining room, we were there for lunch and i had an exquisite starter of Tomato, broad bean spring onion and dry salt cod salad,...followed by a rack of roasted sucking pig ribs totally delightful. this restaurant never fails to deliver.
