I arranged my birthday dinner here for the april we should be a party, but not participate so that we did not order until shortly after we ordered the arroz caldosa con mariscos for those. they said it would take minutes to prepare, but actually lasted more than twice as long. but it was worth waiting. it is a kind of halfway house between paella and sopa de pescados con arroz (fishe befe with rice), if that makes sense (see picture). this court is offered as an appetizer, but many would find it sufficient for a full meal and we took our time with it. two of us then ordered pescado de malaga plancha, which is a simple grilled sea. the waiter actually brought the fish pieces so we could decide whether we wanted one between us or anyone. the fish was good, but rather disappointing, it was served with only a few slices of tomato and lemon. Maybe we should have ordered salat or sweet, but we were not asked to get garnish with something more. this took another hour to prepare and eat. in the evening the service was extremely slow; it was very difficult to win the attention of the waiters; we could also do that they found something else to do; and we had to ask for small things like an extra bottle of water or toothpick three or four times. one of my guests is a restaurant manager in Italy and she commented that their customers would have left the restaurant. the restaurant was happy to accept a birthday cake that I had made in a local bakery, but with all the delays it was actually after midnight before it was served. it should not take hours until you have prepared, served and ate four meals and two main courses for four people. although it was Monday of semana santa the restaurant was not excessively busy. Overall, this is a traditional Spanish fish restaurant, just a few blocks from the main tourist opposite (which is a good thing) and worth a try, provided that they find that dinner will last all night! the interior has some Gaudi expressions, but could do with some renovation. I would certainly have given it at least stars for eating, but the service is so bad that there is no more than star rating. I also have to mention that when paying with the card and the carefree to pay for that I wanted to pay in euro, the transaction was automatically converted to gbp when the Mastercard council was I had to cancel the transaction and redo and I actually pressed the button for euro, but it still came to the same wise, saying that I had rejected the Mastercard conversion. this is the only time that happened to me in a week's stay in malaga. I complained about my card, but either this was more conscious or a mistake in its system. in any case it must be repaired.
